On the day of Mikaela’s birthday, M and I made a Japanese Strawberry Sponge Cake together. I’ve always wanted a strawberry cake for M’s first birthday. I am glad that the cake turned out to be what I wanted and tasted so good! I don’t have a cake turntable to use for frosting so instead, I used two plates and a microwave cover to make frosting easier. It wasn’t perfect but it worked. M was not sure if the cake was okay to eat. She refused few times at first and then finally had a bite. After that bite she totally fell in love with the cake. We decided to take family photos in front of our house every year on M’s birthday.

圓圓生日的這天，她和我一起做了日式草莓蛋糕，我一直很想做草莓蛋糕給圓圓，很開心蛋糕烤得很成功，雖然沒有蛋糕轉盤抹鮮奶油，用兩個盤子加上微波爐蓋子也算堪用，還好蛋糕好吃，圓圓一開始不肯吃，後來吃了一口後整個愛上（吃蛋糕在影片裡）。

生日這天心繫著台灣的長輩家人們，目前的疫情無法回台灣，還好還能有視訊讓阿公阿婆外公外婆、姑姑阿姨叔叔陪圓圓一起唱生日快樂歌一起切蛋糕。❤️

每年圓圓生日我們都會在家門口照全家福做紀念。
